The playDeclarer's Plan: After the lead card goes down, you are relieved to see everything else is as predicted from the bidding. You only have one potential loser, the Diamond Queen, which you can trump by discarding a diamond on the third spade, for example. But will you have any trumps left ? Should you draw them first ? What if you get a not-so-unusual 3-0 trump split ? Even that is no problem, since you're going to create a diamond shortage in North. Hard to see how you can go wrong. Play:
